I just moved. All of the tanks are set up and running minus the 55 Helmeted turtle tank, and the 150. These will appear in the next video in a few weeks. All of my turtles are captive bred, However my roommates are not. The tanks featured are: three, 20L, 10 gal, 37 gal, 30 gal, 55 gal, 75 gal, and a 150 gal stand, This tank will be set up soon. Turtles featured are: Red ear sliders, Western Map Turtles, Rio Grande Red Ear Sliders, Mississippi Map, Chinese (Golden) Stripe Neck, Concentric Diamond Back Terrapin, Northern Diamond Back Terrapin, Common Snapping Turtle, Pink Belly Sideneck, Ultra Hypo Red Ear Slider, Reeves Turtle, Red Cheek Mud Turtle, Stinkpot Turtle.

I am now not using substrate. This is because I prefer to use sand, and it is a mess to deal with. From cleaning the sand, maintaining it, changing it, and it harming filters. Gravel is no better in my opinion, it also looks worse.

  • Why are your tanks so boring?

  • @nabe71596 Might want to check the date on the video.

  • Awesome..but why so many turtles?

  • @jennylokz I will pose this question to you. Why do others who keep snakes or lizards keep so many?

SImple, because they appeal to the owner.

  • Just a quick question. I have a pet Terrapin, already with a filter and heat lamp but now I've kind of inherited a Perch from a friend and I was wondering whether or not I could keep them in the same tank?

  • @DeathWithoutRemorse I would say as long as it is smaller than the turtle.

  • @bruceyberry Please do some research on turtles. Turtles are reptiles, reptiles have lungs. They breathe air. Just because they are aquatic in nature does not mean that they do not breathe air. Fish breathe air. How else do you think turtles are shipped cross continents? How else would they bask? Before you think of these as a pet you need to learn a great deal more.

  • This tank makes me think you can put a hamster cage setup in a glass tank..... Wait..... Can you do that?! :D that'd be AWESOME

  • Hahaha my room mates snapper. Lol I have a dirty mind. Awesome turtles!

  • Love your UHRES. Had a RES for a few years. She escaped. Found her in the yard in spring. She was taken out of her tank again and never was found. Now I have three babies about 3" and need to know what light to get. Most UVB/UVA+heat lights are 100W which is too big/hot for this 10 gal.

What would you recommend. I'm getting nervous since one has dimples in his shell. Not getting enough UV. Have a zilla day bulb but it has no UV accoring to the package. What do I need for this 10 gal
