Sue Lee's Plight

My poor little splay legged pigeon Sue Lee tries to make the best of things.

I spent $700 trying to avoid it, but was forced to have Sue Lee euthanized this morning, and I feel awful about it. I keep thinking of her way of looking at me, and how every time she wanted food or water she would grab my shirt with her beak and give it a tug. She did this one last time while I was sitting with her in the vet’s office this morning, and I gave her a drink from a water bottle I'd brought with me. Born on 7-11 Sue Lee had nothing but bad luck. May God rest her beautiful soul!

I had a little dove with splay leg, little noodles. I also felt terribly responsible when he died. I wish I would have known when he was tiny what to do about it.
