  • This is what covers should be. Simply stunning. I couldn't believe my ears when I listened to this. It's as good as the original. IT IS!

  • I like it a lot, but I wish the tempo was less funereal. It's making me hope that there's a bluegrass cover out there.

  • this is an unbearably remarkable rendition of this song! music to die to. i actually just found out that mira calix was sean booths wife a minute ago, what a trip.

  • @brucekinses just a beautiful description my friend..

  • @brucekinses the original was darker!

  • A magnificent original, covered to a magnificent extent

  • @brucekinses I *think* the original, whilst beautiful, was driven by a much darker theme. Isn't the whole EP about the Waco/Branch Davidians thing? I seem to recall that the vocal clip is actually a sample of Amo Roden or something. Then again I may have it all hopelessly wrong and it is about lemonade and sunshine :)

  • when i listen to this i just visualise generations and generations of memory and experience, like a gabriel garcía márquez novel, a long floaty chain, and at one point you have boards, then subtley interlinking the two long arms of calix and coates, they remind boards of who they were, who they are and what more they could be, and the chain grows forever longer, in both directions.

  • The main difference between this and BoC's masterpiece isn't the quality, both are simply exceptional. What's different is the mood, with BoC I'm content, with images of children playing in a park in a hazy sunny day, with Mira's I feel it's the last memories of an old man in his death bed, reminisces on what once was. It's quite harrowing, and unbearably beautiful, if that makes any sense

  • @fetishalchemy no percussion?

  • @keynestortoise You can say that again bro!
