  • To get better understanding of how he supported the American war machine, look up his work with The Carr Group in the US, and how he talked about acceptable losses during the American: " Shock and Awe Middle Eastern Tour", among the civilians of these countries. He even praises old G.w. This is supposed to be the left wing savior? I think Layton is looking pretty good.

  • @VoiceOfModeration Shouldn't according to whom ? And I don't see how this answers my question anyway.

  • @ryan84160 negative freedoms and positive freedoms shouldn't interfere with each other in a free democracy

  • @VoiceOfModeration Why can't someone support tax-payer funded abortion (in our country or overseas) and believe in freedom at the same time ?

  • Voice of moderation? You may want to think about looking for a new name!

  • Anyone who supports abortion being tax-payer funded (in our country OR overseas) doesn't believe in freedom and doesn't believe in respect for tax-payer money! We already have one spokesman for communism in Ottawa, we don't need another. Ignatieff: You are a joke, you smarmy racist Hillary Clinton lap-dog! You don't have a shot in hell! Just leave our country!!!!

  • @wayfarin theres no stopping the commonsense revolution the free ride for the Conservative Liberal backers is over.

It's well known that Harper is trained as a money manager but nobody said a good one, he does know how to spend it I'll give him that.

Iggy is a big question mark on whatever he is or isn't is, is he?

When the revolution sweeps over us your cost of living will go down your public services will go up.

All hail the conquering party et tu wayfarinbus. salute comrade.

  • @tgomorgan Uh, it was James Madison who ended the payments with the Barbary states, in 1815. Jefferson's war was of limited success, he only succeeded in forcing the Pasha of Tripoli to "appease" the US by demanding tribute more in line with Barbary norms.

  • @99thDimension

if layton ever managed to squeeze into power (he won't), canada debt situation would resemble that of Greece within a couple of years.

  • Third President of the USA Thomas Jefferson had the right idea 1801 when he refused to pay the Muslim Barbary Pirates not to attack American ships. Tripoli part of those islamic states declared war on the USA and so they went to war.

    Never appease, it doesn't work.
