  • That was great to hear, thanks for sharing! I honestly don't understand how anyone can complain about the prices. I make under 20 grand a year, buy mostly local and organic and have plenty of cash on the side. Meanwhile people waste their money on garbage and whine about the cost of good food, talk about messed up priorities.

  • Congradulations on both your accomplishment at starting a small business and for getting involved with an environmentelly friendly occupation.

    great job

    keep on trucking

    John

  • it's more about the oppressive taxes that our government is levying upon society. We need to shake this parasite called government and the federal reserve.

  • Oh, I see, dbusher. Farmers aren't supposed to be able to make money like anyone else providing a valuable service (a life-sustaining service in this case.). Shame on all farmers for wanting to make it a career choice, rather than a hobby.

  • Just another "entrepreneur" Its her career choice and the reality is ...her product costs to much.

What's better is if we all were to farm/garden to our ability and trade FREELY. I have a very small garden and we share with other gardeners in our neighborhood. At any given time I provide beans/carrots while someone gives peppers or herbs. I think we should all work hard on that model.

  • I agree how dare they try to take care of themselves. Dont they know thats the govt's job LOL :)

You do make good points but Wouldnt it be nice if more people farmed at home and saved money. :)

  • Bad News for Corporations and City government

    No sale=No Tax

you will be too healthy that pharmacy/clinics will not make money

you will be missing key nutrients, pesticide residue, weed killer residue, salmonella, etc.

you won't need to pay the gym as your getting exercise gardening and getting "real results"

see that bad things you guys are doing !

  • what you said....

  • we do have enough food to feed the world. unfortunately, too much is monocrop, pesticide, herbicide, nutrient intensive big ag....plus there is alot of waste, but, I'm doing this to my yard, and planting fruit trees and a raised bed at my rental property....people have no idea how ABUNDANT intensive growing can be, and it works better for organics to be on a smaller scale...SPIN ON!!!!!

  • If this makes sense to you and you are interested in creating a SPIN farm and want to find people interested in yard or landsharing you may wan to join us a hyperlocavore - a social network built to support and encourage groups to garden together, create urban farms or neighborhood CSAs. Join - it's free!
