Nights of May

This is the final submission for the 3rd year of our Degree project at the University of Hertfordshire.

Its been a long road with many months of hard work, and we really hope you enjoy the final product.

wow thats sick. A few things I am really interested in are, what programs did you use? How did you model/render the hair? How long did this take to render? How did you do some of the cloth animations and visual effects?

Concerning the programs used, if you skip to the end the 3rd Credit panel has a full list of all the programs used

Everything was modelled and textured in 3DSMAX and rendered using Mental Ray, along with the hair, the hair was made out of planes and used and alpha based texture along with an awesome shader created by Mark Ranson.

You guys are really fantastic at structure and objects detail! Oh, and the lighting work is so freaking amazing. The lighting is just mind-blowing!

This is one of the most beautiful and captivating stories in its visual and acoustic form... From the first second till the last one, I've been drawn into the Nights of May. Extraordinary! =)
