[0:21] The trick is to land and spit the shy guy upward AS SOON AS the momentum has completely been depleted.

[0:24] ... then jump on the shy guy AS SOON AS his rolling animation is complete.

That's about it. Once those two things are done well, the rest is a breeze.

FAQ:
• When you fire green eggs, they can bounce off of walls, and pipes. If they hit enemies, they resolve by killing the enemy touched. When they bounce off surfaces, they change colors. From green, to yellow, to red. If a yellow egg touches an enemy, 1 coin will appear. If a red egg touches an enemy, 2 stars will appear.
• It's faster to jump across uneven surfaces than to walk on them. You can catch eggs that were thrown in midair by extending Yoshi's tongue to grab the egg.
• Firing an egg, then canceling will send the egg that was canceled to the end of the line of eggs you currently have. This allows you to be able to select a particular (usually a red one) egg to be fired without wasting eggs.

There is another user on YouTube, Japanese I believe. He has a bunch of low% videos, but I have no idea if they're TAS or not.

As for if this is the best? I have no idea. Fasest I've seen though. :)

I don't do requests per se, but if what you see interests you, you should definitely register at the SDA forums to know what other speedruns are in production ATM.

I usually find platformers the most appealing to play and speedrun. Others I've considered in the past yet never went past pre-production include: Viewtiful Joe 1, Okami, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 [Mike89 and everyone else at TSC is better than me :(].

Right now I'm working on this and Jet Set Radio Future.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed them. What you viewed is some of my latest stuff that isn't on Speed Demos Archive yet (it should be there sometime in 2009 when I have every level any% speedrun complete).
