  • whats up my son age 2 he stutters i was so shock how can i help him i stutter too i cant remember starting at that age . what to do ?

  • I will be honest with you....Most of the time you don't remember doing anything at the age of 2. if you can ask your parents if you still talk to them (or another relative), and see if they noticed if you did at a young age. I don't remember doing it until I was in 2nd grade.

You def. want to take your son to the peditrician, and get a referral with early invention. Most SLPs usually won't look at the child under the age of 3, but if you notice, you can def. get on with early intervention

  • Good job here! Like someone else said, don't mind others who feel stuttering is not a good example. That person needs to learn that stuttering is situational and variable for all of us, and whether its mild or severe, stuttering affects us all in some way. Thats what brings us together.

  • couldn't agree with you more!!!

  • Hey good questions! I suggest that you do a video and talk about stuttering facts and FAQ's and cover some of the percentages and demographics etc.

  • man, add some homework to it why don't you! Yea that's an awesome idea. ***writes down***

  • I feel weird.

But, I feel sorry for you at the same time... I can't imagine not being able to get my words out like that. I'm not trying to sound rude, Its just so foreign to me.. :( I'm sorry

  • Ever heard of bad stuttering before...

  • My "terminology" is my own way of describing stuttering.

  • happy7117 wtf is a nasty stutter????

  • hey yeah, Just because your stutter is "light" at the moment doesn't mean it is light to you, it might be a huge deal to you. Yeah, I think he should use better terminology. Maybe I shouldn't rag on him or her that much b/c I am still just coming to terms with it and still not by any means really there so. To answer ur question I am kind of afraid that my kid or kids will stutter because my dad does and I do, so idk we will see. :)
