Please watch in HD. I shot this video on November 11, 2009, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the beginning of Joe Bonamassa's incredible career. Please forgive the shaky start - I think I had my elbows on the stage as Mr. Bowles was pounding out that magnificent beat!! Ha! That's what happens when the only image stabilization your camera has is that of your own two hands. ;)
As an interesting aside, Joe received the guitar shown here just hours before this performance. It's an Albert Lee Music Man.... a Big Poppa, if I'm not mistaken. He seemed comfortable with it immediately. :))
This is an original tune, penned by Mr. Bonamassa himself, and may be found on his CD "The Ballad of John Henry". Here, he is supported by his awesome band members, Carmine Rojas on bass, Bogie Bowles on drums, and Rick Melick on keyboards.
This is a fantastic song from an incredible album. To find out more about it, or any other work by Joe, please visit him here:
