  • @cautionfiamable my dad had a 5.7 chevy and it was a machine and ran fantastic. lol but the reason i dont like chevies is the lack of power, fords due to majority of they people i know who own them have had major problems, and dodge (newer 04+) are just trash. dad has a 2010 hemi after 5000 miles the engine had to be pulled apart for bad lifters. the new tundras have thier problems as well and i dont think the 5.7 will last as long as my 4.7 will but are still great

  • @italiandude321 im not just saying this to make me seem right but look up the 1998 chevy 150, best truck ever made. ive seen many of the 5.0l and 5.7l trucks well over 500,000 miles.

  • @cautionfiamable honestly its all in what you get i havent been to chevy yet but am always at dodge and have seen several 1500 hemis that r 43k+ and i have heard guys on the the tundra forum paying just as much for tundras wit everything. im sure u can easily find gm and ford guys paying just as much on similarly equiped trucks. also i have seen 35k trucks get talked down to in the 20's (28-25k) so not far off. tundra does need some improvement on interior but i still like them

  • @cautionfiamable diesel is a completely different animal find a domestic v8 GAS with 600000+ miles

and i miss read your last comment about quality. i buy vehicles based solely on quality. if its not guna last i dont care how cheap it is but if it will last i dont mind paying a little extra. ex. used to buy off brand hunitng boots ($50) had to replace them each year finally bought a pair of lacrosse ($120) that was 6-7 years ago and other than the camo wearing off still perfect

  • @cautionfiamable my father bought a 2010 Chevy brand new Z71, fully loaded for $

23000 in Indiana. how much was the tundra? i think the loaded models run like $35000.

  • @cautionfiamable when you say peice of shit that is exactly about quality. from my personal experiences i have yet to see a domestic last as long as a toyota (not saying they dont), and i wish they would and while the quality and longevity of the domestic are much better than they were i feel they still fall short. i bought a tundra cuz it was what was available and will until i feel the domestics are at par.

  • @cautionfiamable i know a guy who works with his ford... 1.5 mil miles and still runnin the original V8 diesel

  • @italiandude321 its not all about quality honestly, when americans first began making cars it was about being affordable and of decent quality for a reasonable price so everyone could own one and not just the rich such was the case in Europe back in those days. toyota makes a decent truck, but it is overpriced for what you get, and i know plenty of Chevy and fords that have just as many miles or more. i got a suburban with 200000 right now and all i have done is put fluid in it

  • @cautionfiamable once again to me rice means stupid unnecessary mods that give the appearance of speed prove me wrong with an official definition not your version

  • @cautionfiamable japanese pos huh thats why they have v8 tundras with 400000+ miles on it and 2 i have seen with 600000+ miles all with original trannies and engines. mine personally has over 175000 with only needing a new starter. so me a site with an official definition that rice means of japanese decent and i will say you win on the rice arguement. but the pos comment is way off. i have driven fords dodges chevies and the tundra is my fav cuz i feel it its the best quality
