Can you please help I can not get XBMC to add the source for my E drive on my windows 7 desktop. I turn on my homeshare on windows and turned off the password but in XBMC when i go to add the path and get to the e drive it ask for user name and password, i tried putting no password & username i tried puting PW & Username i tried just username but will not connect just kicks me back to password and username screen

@leoasjj on your macbook go to system preferences, then to sharing, and then turn on file sharing using samba (SMB) then on your apple tv indicate that you want to use a samba directory to find your files and it will show up

for best results only share the folders that have your media

Friends, I'm new with regard to XBMC. I did the jailbreak on an Apple TV 2g, installed XBMC and PLEX too. Since they did not know either of them right media center, started by XBMC (I do not know if the two do the same thing). In XBMC, when I go to VIDEOS and then on Add Videos, opens a window for me, but do not think option of going up to my HD on my Macbook to indicate the folder where my movies in HD (. mkv). Could someone help me?

Check out flowmymo.com, its easier and has better sharing options. e.g. you can share a library containing 10 movies with your friends and find the movie nobody has seen. And its online, that means you can scroll through your Movies with Coverflow from everywhere. And i think it scrapes mor sites for info ...
