God I'm a slob! I was wondering why my buttons were sticking and it turned out some sticky soda or snapple dribbled ever so slightly into my x button..just enough to be a problem. Thanks to this video for helping me disassemble and reassemble it. c: lesson: Dont eat or drink sticky stuff when playing games!

Thank you it work fine!
before i put the back on it functions fine, then I put the back on and the buttons dont work right they kinda just fire at random, take the back plate off and it works fine again ... im soooo confused by this.

@tdtzegil This is what I suggest... close the controller and screw all the screws fairly tight, this allows the pressure to push from the green film on the board and with that pressure just as you did when you had the back cover off and the pressure from your fingers holding it together it should compensate when fully assembled. If that doesn't work then make sure the green film and the board has a solid connection to eachother

@1meanieface1 either you did plug the battery all the way back in, or you installed the reset button wrong if it fell out and you had to put it back in. if none of the trouble shoot works let me know

@WolverineXXX21 what type of controller you have? vibration or no vibration? without any real detail, it could be either one of these problems, you put the reset button backwards so all it does is keep resetting... or you did not plug in the batter pack all the way.
