!THIS GAME HAS TROPHIES!

This is a review of the PS3 game inFAMOUS.

By the way, I do love Dark Knight, that's not me having a go. I just hate how everyone now does it.

  • inFamous and [PROTOTYPE] are completely different games. I don't know why everyone keeps comparing the two. Other than the fact you play as a guy that has super powers, there is nothing the same about them.

inFamous is a great action/adventure superhero/supervillain sandbox game with a great story, and [PROTOTYPE] is an anti-hero sandbox game with pretty much no story (let's be honest!), poor graphics and a mediocre combat system. Running up walls is cool though!

  • Did, didn't like it because of the riddles, but one day I'll give it another go because I've heard you can just leave them.

I just really didn't buy it for a puzzle experience, I bought it because it looked like a really good action game that done the new movies justice. So then when I was confronted by a ton of riddles I just thought "yawn" and sold it. I just don't have the patience to search high and low for answers when all I want to do is be Batman, lol.

  • @DEIVION212 Just bought Arkham City. Won't start playing it until November, though, the Early Access Uncharted 3 Competitive Multiplayer is keeping me busy, LOL.

  • Cheers for the reply but it's not needed as I have since gotten into it, upto Ivy :)

Can't wait for the new one but I will because the GOTY will give you all the content again I'd imagine so I'd rather wait to get all of the extra bonuses.

  • @DEIVION212

I beat Arkham Asylum's story about a week ago. You've heard right: the riddles are COMPLETELY optional (aside from one tutorial).

As for the stealth (I might as well cover this, since you normally hate stealth)...I hate stealth games, but I love AA's stealth. It was fast-paced & exciting, and you can escape & hide in multiple ways, such as grappling & swinging between gargoyles. And to top it off, there are also tons of tactical options, such as air vents, for example.

  • This is one of the main things I hate about this gen, movie games.

  • I thought the game was rated teen lol. But yeah, your language might be a little naughty some times in this video ;)

  • Once you get all of the shards needed to completely upgrade you leccy bar, collect one more and it tells you how many's left overall.

  • @DEIVION212

How can you tell how many more shards you need?

  • I had 3 shards left to collect, but Panda was being awkward with playing the game refusing to play it on his profile (Ne NEVER uses his profile) so I deleted my game and now I really can't be arsed to get them all.

  • This game does everything fantastically! The checkpoint system is FANTASTIC. The escort missions are fun! And when you die in a escort mission you go back to a checkpoint a block away and the escort-ee's health goes up a level! The climing works, but it's a little to latchy. Although personally I think that there are way to many blast shards :P i've probably collected about 150+ and am like 45% through. Also, the health takes to long ot regenerate.
