This is really confusing for me as a new Christian.I hear 100 different theories about the same subject.How do I know what is truth and what is not when others that have been Christians for years cannot even agree?

The Word of God is not confusing. Man is confused. The Only way to determine the Truth is to seek it in the Word of God as taught by the Spirit of God.

When man speaks of the Word, you must check what he says against Scripture. Believe the Word, Not Man.

God is Truth!

Man is deceived and deceiving.

Revelation 3:10 says, "tereo ek" kept from which means protected from.

God says, I will protect you. Where do you get removal or caught up?

Let Scripture interpret Scripture.

John, the same writer, used the same words "tereo ek" in John 17:15 "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from (tereo ek) the evil one."

The rapture is not in the Bible. It is just popular Christian theology. A popular interpretation that I think is just false.

@mcap52 beware from false prophets (false religions) and some of scribes (false teachers and writers like davinci code, the dead sea scrolls etc...) they are all deceiving. always remember satan is the father of all lies. the greatest teacher of all time is a spirit not a man. why would you listen to men and not to the holy spirit? the books in school are the tools of teachers and the holy book (word of God) is the tool of the holy spirit (greatest teacher) :-)

@carlrondeau The "hour" of temptation is the "hour" you are tempted to receive The Mark of The Beast so you can live and go home; Or to decide to NOT receive the Mark and be lead off to be beheaded. That's the "hour" of temptation Jesus was talking about..

Richard perry is a false profit. Dont be gullable and believe such nonsense. He will be accountable for hisw sins as you and me, But the seeds he sows, what a damnable harvest he will reap. Taking scripture out of context as he does show he is unknowledgable about scripture and only wants to share his ungodlyness. Richard will one day meet Jesus, But not on Richards terms.

@mcap52 dont trust the internet for truth. Being a new christian, welcome into the family of God. Study the new testement. Psalms 118:8 says "It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in any man".Being in here as a new believe is not what you should be doing. Know what you believe and why you believe it, first. Matt 6:33. use the Bible as your measuring rod for truth. Jesus will never do you wrong. See you in Heaven.
