  • So glad that i was able to be at a lot of these events at this time. The height of the BTCC. RIP david Leslie

  • @MrRocket2008 spot on

  • @JDBEDORE To be fair, the BTCC isnt like this anymore, as any form of agressive driving gets penalised now, which I think is a shame as what made the BTCC in the 90s so great was the aggressive, bumper to bumper, wheel to wheel driving from everyone.

  • @JDBEDORE thats the point of btcc, it may be immature and wreckless as you say but its so much more exciting and full of action. and it does take alot of skill, Nigel Mansell used to race in it.

  • @Kinsywinsy I don't think he even wanted to make the corner, it looks like he intentionally took Cleland out so his team mate Harvey would win the championship. I'd have stayed in the car as well!

  • @8man117 nascar is not pussy, they are (and were back then as well) averaging much faster speed. the way these guys raced (soper, etc) they would get kicked out of any other championship in the world including nascar. might be entertaining for a casual motorsport fan, but it's just immature and wreckless.

  • Biffing and barging plus close racing is what the crowds wanna see and you just don`t see that anymore...

  • @DuchampLondon I remember the faux soul searching this crash produced in Autosport. They were trying to run a 'has touring cars got too much contact?' angle, but how can you not love racing like this? It seems the contact only got worse as the 1990s went on, and wasn't as fun anymore when Kelvin Burt had his accident.

  • you wont see this in racing these days its a good job they get uploaded rather watch this than todays racing

  • This was a simply outstanding race for the 1992 season, it was awesome! The aggression and tension between the drivers is immense in this clip! *happy days*
