Verrrrry pretty! I have been hand-trimming the bottoms on mine and they are so kludgy that way I decided to try one-piece throwing a la Jan Partzybok. But boy oh boy you had better looove trimming if your stems start as heavy as mine. I have done 2-piece goblets for years because I enjoy the thinner stem ... but you have the stem thing down.... and your proportions are perfect. Thanks for postin.g p.s. MAN you have that wheel cranking! lol

Just spent a few fruitless hours messing up stems, when I should have been looking at this - really nice, clear demo, excellent technique- thankyou very much!

wonderful! thanks tim!
For months I tried to "self teach" myself to throw goblets...hundreds with some success much like your method. I've watched so many on YouTube, MySpace and private sites and without a doubt you are the best. Beautiful, graceful flawless and perfect dimensions. Namaste

Hi tim. thats a beautiful goblet.I have to try this way of doing it :°)
When you put handles on mugs you use vinegar and now you use slick. What is your experience with the differens, why not vinegar in this case? Thanks for charing! /Lena

it may sound like slick but it is slip. and I used slip because it was available. I didnt have vinegar there. Handles do shrink more (they are made wet when the mug has already dried. the addition of more even wetter clay will cause small cracks or even large ones. good question.
