David Gilmour playing "Sorrow" at the Stratocaster 50th Anniversary in 2004.
He certainly is the greatest guitar player ever.

  • I don't need drugs to enjoy his music. His music is drug itself.

  • 6 people need a serious beatdown.

  • @gvaldarrama - I'm not saying you're wrong, but you can't compare Gilmour's style with Eddie VanHalen, Chet Atkins, Santana, Satriani, etc... because each one mentioned is a different style. Gilmour is blues/rock, VanHalen is rock, Atkins is an easy listening, Santana is got it going on in the Latino area, and Satriani just does it all. Gilmour is fantastic at what he does, but to say that he's better than EVERYONE... I'll shut up now and hit the replay!
