hey, just a little thing about the name. that probably was the name of the guy who served with that weapon, as the rifles in switzerland are personel and we take them home also when not in service...so we name tag them all...

that name is the soldier it was assigned to, I believe. not the craftman

Stick a scope on this rifle and take it to the range with a bunch of GP11 ammo and you watch the smile on the heavy barrelled rifle owners faces drop when you match or beat their scores.You will have to know how to use the K31 though to get the best out of it.

I know this because I matched my K31 up against my Winchester Model 70 Stealth 11,nothing to gain or lose.

In theory K31`s should be selling for much more than what they are,grab one before people start to realise it.

@extremehunter1996 yours sounds like a k11 or an earlier rifle no such thing as too old to shoot take it to a gunsmith to have it checked if older than a k11 you might need a shorter cartridge like a 7.5x53 or 54.5 something like that pre gp11 ammo anyway

@kp7100 surplus can be pricey but you can buy it online cheaper like at sportsmansguide wolf makes ammo that is reloadable along with hornady i shot all ammo even wolf ammo was impressive on the range hornady i used for deer hunting you can use 308 diameter bullets when reloading

is ammo affordable for these guns..i am planning on getting one but i dont want another odd ball round to buy and its expensive...thank you
