Actually, there are more than 1000 'time bombs', like Deepwater Horizon drilling platform, distributed all over the world, drilling in deepwater offshore, based on an security concept which has failed and caused the largest oil spill disaster in US history ...

How to extinguish heavy fire on an offshore drilling platform, prevent it from sinking and avoid an oil spill ?

This movie shows briefly how to stop such a disaster from its early beginning, concentrated on an improved emergency response, better communication between response units and additional technics which may stop the deepwater oil gusher while rescue and fire-fighting efforts are ongoing ...

An offshore drilling ban may only be helpful as long as there is no improved emergency response available to fight off an oil/gas blow out and its consequences from its early beginning.

As soon as a better security concept is available and tested regularly and in a realistic exercise, controlled and validated by a specially trained fire department which is independently from the oil companies, there is no further need for a political ban of deepwater offshore drilling ...

The US need both, secure oil drilling and environmental protection. Offshore drilling creates and saves jobs. But doing this should not be to the disadvantage of the nature and the people.

We believe in the excellence and good willing of the American people and the US Government and we know, that YOU don't like to see such a disaster again.
