Eclipse Drama! Victoria Casting Getting Messy

Now, we here at ClevverTV have already confirmed that Rachelle Lefevvre lost her job earlier this week and that actress Bryce Dallas Howard will be playing Victoria in Eclipse. Of Course, Fans are up in arms over this situation-which basically seemed to come out of no where. In fact, just days before Rachelle was fired, she was seen hanging out with the rest of her Twilight cast at the Comic Con convention in San Diego.

After news of the recasting broke, Rachelle quickly revealed that she was stunned and greatly saddened by Summit Entertainments decision to give her the ax. According to the actress, she only needed 10 days off from the 3 month long production, so that she could appear in another small film. Meanwhile, Rachell's Twilight and New Moon costars are completely devastated by the casting change. And as great as Bryce Dallas Howard is, they feel like a family member has been taken from them.

Well, to further complicate the matter, Summit released a statement that basically says they are disappointed by the actress' recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. They also say that the studio wasn't informed of the scheduling conflict until July 20th and that they feel her choice to withhold the conflict from them can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production-OUCH!

Rachelle is still stunned by the situation and says that never did she think she'd loose her role over a 10 day overlap. Do you guys really think that she would purposely book an independent film when she knows she's expected to be filming Eclipse at the exact same time? Most insiders say NO. Rachelle probably thought she had permission.

Now it seems the claws are really coming out-because the Twilight and New Moon actress wants her money but Summit is saying that she breached her contract. On the subject of money, I should also note that rumors are circulating that Bryce was cast in the role at much lower rate than Rachelle-meaning Summit is potentially saving a ton of cash. Lawyers are in the process of hashing everything out! No one has really gone public with the details and we hear that the rest of the cast has been instructed not to speak about the matter with the media.

Of course fans hit the web in a fast frenzy-starting a petition to get Rachelle back on the cast. But, is it working? Can the fans bring her back from the dead? And what do you think about the recasting?
This is some serious drama-and in true Twilight fashion, I think there might even be some blood shed.


Let's also not forget that Rachelle is still in New Moon and the entire cast will be starting to promote the film's November release, so will she be around for all the hooplah? Wouldn't that be incredibly uncomfortable?

@me35789 She was booked for another movie simultaneously and she asked for ten days off from Eclipse to shoot her part in the other movie. But, a scheduling conflict overtook and she came back unintentionally late and Summit sacked her when she reached the sets - claiming they were offended by her delay. They gave her the sack and accused her of lacking cooperative spirit, claiming to the media - and Bryce was hired... that ugly, disgusting Bryce.
