BBC docudrama series "Dunkirk"

In May 1940, Britain came closer to losing the Second World War than at any other time. For ten days, the future of the country hung in the balance. This is the story of those desperate days. All the characters are real; all the events from first-hand accounts.

All you guys complaining about the lack of mention of the valiant but hard luck 51st Highland Division should remember: they were never part of Dynamo or the Dunkirk evacuation!

They, along with the 52nd Lowlanders, 1st Armored and the 1st Canadian were south of the Somme!

This documentary concentrates on Dynamo not Aerial and Cycle which evacuated the BEF from the south except for the 51st whose port was overrun.

It also doesn't mention that the French were shipped back and soon surrendered.

its a strawberry jelly kind of thing, very rich in sugar we put it on toast, crumpets or with scones, You can also get blueberry jam, raspberry jam just about every kind of jam as long as its a fruit :)

The German soldier was making a joke with the British soldier. He was attempting to humor a dying man.

Marmelade in German is the right translation for jam in English.

Thanks for sharing, The thing is though the Men of The Coldstream Guards are called "Coldstreamers" not Coldstreams. Small point I know but worth mentioning
