Using the open source Transcriber program for language learning.
Demonstrating basic playback of a ChinesePod podcast that I quickly aligned with the corresponding transcript. You see the correct section of text is highlighted as the audio plays.
Hi Slatterypod, i need to do what you did... match up the audio with writing, i just cant. I am using an mp3 file, i add it to transcriber i see the needle running all the way through the audio but it makes no sound. How did you do it?? Thx
Yes, I used Transcriber to manually match up the text with the audio.. I just pasted in the transcript, played back the audio, and synced as it played. Transcriber is probably the fastest tool on the market for this (and it's free)!

Oh, so you see the audio but hear no sound? I've only Transcriber on Windows. Are you using Windows, or maybe Linux or Mac?
