  • I've lived in New Bedford my whole life. Born & raised here. Went to school here. I think it's awesome. There's some neighborhoods that aren't too great, but there's a lot of nice places here, & a lot of historic features. New Bedford is my home, & it always will be.

  • i grew up in nb and used to hate it and think it was a complete shithole when i was alot younger. And it was up until the turn of the century. now downtown new bedford is awesome and nice of a downtown as newport or plymouth, or any small city ive been too. Fall River and Brockton are still bad but New Bedford has come a very long way. I know way more people whove left for greener pastures in college and came back than those who havent.

  • I was born and raised in New Bedford and grew up on 413 Shaw Street in the North End...I still appreciate New Bedford's cultures and diversity

  • Sure there are some really tough areas in New Bedford, but there are also a few very nice areas. I bought a house in the North End (about 3 minutes from where this video started) in August and I love it here. Very quiet where I live and the neighbors are all extremely nice. Downtown NB and the North End are great as far as I'm concerned.

  • @dropndeuces82 you got that right!

  • @trilobright Yeah i always hear how it was 20 years ago...ill never know though...its just hard to stay positive about the city when you get carjacked, robbed, shootings, idiot drivers all around and poverty

  • @fade2black232

There are plenty of nasty parts to this day, especially in the South End and some in the North. But if you'd been here twenty years ago you wouldn't even recognize it today. Downtown, the West End/anything off of Union, the periphery of the South along Rodney French, much of County, and many other neighborhoods are now among the nicest in New England, more comparable to Newport, Nantucket, Portland or Portsmouth than to Brockton or Fall River.

  • @trilobright You must live on a good corner then because from where i live....it fucking blows and the people here suck too....everybody is a dickhead.
