Blenko Glass, located in Milton, West Virginia, makes hand-crafted glass items. The company's factory is located not far off the Interstate and it has a gallery from which you can watch glass pieces being made. This video shows the steps to make a "Bella Bocca Pitcher," which is a colored glass pitcher in the company's catalog. As you can see, good old American craftsmen create and shape the glass with their hands and skills. It was really quite hypnotic to watch. I have more video clips showing the finished glass pieces, and I may put that together to complement this.

This was shot and edited in HD, using my Canon Vixia HF11 AVCHD camcorder. Some minor steps and drawn-out steps were either shortened or eliminated to keep this as short and complete as possible. I hope you enjoy it.

  • Very nice video! What fun to see them making another item. We were just there on Aug.13, 09. See my video for the making of another piece: search Blenko Glass Factory. This is the best glass factory I have seen to date (3rd one). I love how you can see everything they are doing from first step to last!

  • I took a look and left a message. Your video is excellent, very entertaining to watch.
