Steve Reich's Electric Counterpoint is one of the foremost pieces written for electric guitar ensemble. Although the original requires thirteen parts (11 guitars and 2 basses), this adaptation for eight (6 guitars, 1 bass, and 1 Beartrax) manages to maintain as many as nine canonical voices at a time. The contrapuntal themes, metric modulations, and infectious grooves of movement three are perfectly suited to our Interlocking Textures program.

Los Angeles Electric 8: Hugo Aguayo, Tom Farrell, Philip Graulty, Chelsea Green, Kai Kurosawa, Marc Nimoy, Felix Salazar, JohnPaul Trotter
