Blade 400 - First Solo Flight

First Solo flight with my Blade 400. Homemade training gear tied to the skids using twist ties. In hindsight, I might have wanted something more secure! Fun times trying not to crash!

Good guess. Feathering shaft was ok, but mainshaft was done. Made me think of a hockey stick.

Your over - correcting. Use just the slightest movements.

Great job! I just got my 400 three days ago and I won't put her in the air until I have some time on the simulator. Have you thought about using tiny zip ties that you can get at lowes or home depot? That's what I will be using. Great Job though.

i use twist ties, and a homemade training gear on my blade 400....maybe you have it set up different than mine. ive had no problems at all..what are you using at the ends?? it looks like styrophome....i use whiffle balls..and inbetween the whiffle balls i use a hard rubber grip on each side...twist ties only used on the inside tying the training gear to the blades skids.

also check your mainshaft and feathering shaft as they might be bent very nice start to heli flying though :)

Pretty good hovering, especially for 1st try! Get some store bought training gear though.
