Burning Man 2007 - The Burninator X is a very large playa-scale fire installation - a set of flame towers arranged in a cross, in an area of approximately 1/2 million square feet. This is the third in the Burninator series, bigger than ever. It uses the expanse of the playa to create 2-dimensional patterns and sequences of flame, controllable by the spectator. Standing near the towers, the rush of flames is felt moving at near the speed of sound; from far away, the patterns of fire it creates will be visible from anywhere in the city, and for miles around.
