  • I don't suppose you've noticed that legislation is rarely the problem when it comes to education. Financially, yes, it is true. But students aren't learning because their parents do nothing but nay-say reform, and current events are rarely an issue in schools these days. The very people who make up the 73% who disapprove of this "socialist" plan are the idiots who have no clue what public education means or needs.

  • True, but we should leave our kids out of that debate. All public school teachers are essentially government officials, so if we tell our children to disrespect the President of the United States today, they'll be rioting in classrooms and spitting at their teachers tomorrow. If you really disagree with President Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan that much, you shouldn't have enrolled your child in a PUBLIC SCHOOL in the first place. DUH! Sounds like we need to educate the parents.

  • Yeah very rediculous I mean we have a socalist speaking to our children. Plus if you read any of the packets sent to teachers you would see the propoganda he was going t use until america fought back. His agenda is rediculous none of his major bills passed or ran through congress have been thought to be positive by the American people. Stimulus was at 28 % approval when passed, 34 % for the health care bill, the second stimulus was just as bad. Wake up people.

You hear that, it's VOLUNTARY. So much drama over something that's harmless.

  • That'd be really bad seeing that I wanted to be a FireFighther in 4th grade and because of having a choice and finding my way through education am a college Dean now

  • Doesn't he mean Indoctrination Secretary. Government schools started indoctrinating instead of educating in the 60's and that is why we now lag behind. In Germany, by the 4th grade they select you out to professional, vocational, and garbage collectors, and concentrate on each area. But here that would be bad.

  • Conservative message--"Education is Bad."

    Nice job, GOP!

  • hehe....no commercial...
