An interesting adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde produced by the BBC, in which the old Dr. Jekyll transforms himself into the cool, charming and conscience-less Edward Hyde.

  • thx 4 posting this one too albernom...is it possible to purchase this version and the Anthony Andrews version on ebay/amazon?

  • @wincipoet Yep, this version I got on DVD through ebay (it can only be purchased from the UK, but all the sellers of it I saw shipped internationally) and the Andrews version I've seen floating around on ebay too, for about $10-$40 last I checked, and it's only available on VHS. I'm pretty sure they're both available on Amazon too, if you prefer shopping there, but ebay had better deals on these when I got them.

  • Well, all in all a bit boring version of this story, though still not the worst I have seen. It's interesting that like "The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll" this is one of the few versions where Dr. Jekyll wears make-up and not Mr. Hyde. And as a side not it was somewhat fun to notice that the old gentleman that Hyde kills is played by Desmond Llewelyn, best known as Q from James Bond movies.

  • The first transformation's like an acid trip lmao

  • Thanks for having this on for I have wanted to see it for a long time. Have always loved the story of THE STRANGE CASE... Still I feel the best versions are 1920/31/41

  • another shit movie which has nothing to do with the real story

  • pretty nice version, Hemmings was gorgeous

  • hemmings really got all bloated from his boozing.
