Much agreed, Lopez was overall a better drummer. But you can't really discredit Axe - his style may be considerably different than Lopez's but he is still an amazing drummer. At least Axe does his best to keep some beats that Lopez used (such as the 6/8 clave on the ride and snare) when they perform songs from albums that featured Lopez.
Axe or Lopez, Akesson or Lindgren... Opeth is still an amazing band. And even with the new guys, they can still put on an amazing live show. :)

but I cant get used to not hearing Lopez's drumming vibe for Deliverance...Axe pumps out some great songs like Master's Apprentice...but Deliverance is pure Lopez.

yeah, Lopez owned Deliverance... but Axe is pretty amazing as well, luckely.
