I think in 1715 Rob would be wearing the Auld MacGregor tartan. Made with vegetable dye it was more orange than red. Many MacGregors still wear it to this day.

I had forgotten what a wonderful movie this was, YDDA! Handsome Richard Todd, beautiful Glynis Johns and the immortal Finlay Currie. Must have seen it when I was 8 or 10 years old, in the theater or maybe on TV ("The Wonderful World of Disney"?), back when Disney was making great films for a family audience. Thanks, YDDA, for the memories.
