This shows how easily flood water can knock you down, injure you, or even kill you. The water on the street doesn't look very intimidating, but people trying to walk through a flood, or even drive through one, can end up dead because they didn't take it seriously.

In the USA, the Weather Service uses the slogan "Turn around, don't drown" when issuing flood warnings.

fair play to the lads in green,,they were working for trafic management..as it says on their truck if you look closley..not the council..sure the councill would have been leaning on their shovels,smoking rolies..true heros.endangering their lives for the sake of some old codger trying to cash his pension..the lads saftey officer is real proud of them...i know this because he is my brother...also a feckin hero....probably sleeping in his van as i speak..thanks for uploading and sharing..cheers.jb
