That is NOT true. The transmissions are fine, "supposedly" there have been some isolated incidents of people not letting the launch control feature cool down beween runs and also not properly breaking-in the transaxle. This is considered ABUSE not USE. As with any duel clutch system...it needs time to cool(as indicated by a blinking red light on the dash)..This rumor has been spread(exaggerated) by GM fanboys that are trying to discredit the GT-R as an engineering marvel.

it rapes zr1 for value.i know the zr1 will dust the gtr but the zr1 has atleast 200 more hp than gtr if im not wrong.the zr1 will beat my car of course but its stock.

im really a fan of the gt-r, but it does not rape the zr1! zr1 has faster acceleration, faster top speed and on the track (for example nordschleife germany) it is faster. but anyway Id rather have a gt-r because its so fascinating and also good value!

Why do people write BS? ZR1 and GTR are so close in terms of performance, one can easily win over with merely different reaction times.... Secondly, the ZR1 is so close, or matched or sometimes better then the GTR that insulting the ZR1 equally insults the GTR...

Not really a supercar. A supercar needs to be more than a couple hundred grand. This is an every mans supercar. Well not everyman, but reachable for many more people.

@zerofve OK, I will take that into consideration. I still think a supercar needs to be needlessly expensive. A Corvette Z06 , ZR1, Grand Sport will all do over 190mph. Porsche GT3 will do over 190 mph. SL63 will do 186 mph. I wouldn't consider any of those cars "supercars". Fast production cars, but not supercars.

@zerofve I have driven a ton of GT-R's from R32's-R35's. The R35's are a fast car. Cool car, still a Nissan production car, which is part of the appeal. Its higher priced car performance at a fraction of the cost.
