"Oil sands production". That sounds like humans are producing oil sands. In fact they are just talking it away. They produce nothing except pollution and further dependecies.
But in the far future, tar sands will for sure contain the bodies of human beings. Then you can talk about "tar sand production".

1. Seems like bad business to sell to only one customer.
2. Why not emphasize conservation a little? It won't hurt our quality of life.
3. Becoming the stand-in for the middle east as an oil supplier to the U.S. does not compel Bush and company to make peace over there.

It takes more ENERGY (natural Gas) to produce/extract the oil from the sands than what you get out of it.. USA just loves they're fucking oil so much to shove in they're SUV's an Hummers
