the whole reason i watched this is because people call me droopy

I don't stay quiet. I see something wrong, I'm going to speak up. I did it at 13 and I still do it now

like i said, thanks for ruining it fir everyone else. why people have to be offended by words is beyond me. i could care less if a cartoon said honkey or cracker. its just a fuckin cartoon. besides he just said blackie, it could of been something worse. people need to lighten up with this political corrrectness shit

and like I said, it doesn't have to be "something worse" for a viewer to be offended. either way, the word was degrading to the black community. I saw a problem and I called the network on it.. that's all there is to it. if it wasn't me it would have been someone else that called in with a complaint

Some people just have to always bring up the subject of "race" about everything.

black people were considered less than human in the time these cartoons came out. and no, "WE" didn't get over it. you have your opinion, I have mine.

@LoganJackson You are right Logan. I am african american, and again unless you are a part of the race being denegraded, you really wouldn't understand. However, I am a very big fan of these cartoons, and I do understand that at this time "political correctness" was not in fashion. I am equal opportunity though, I could not just mention blacks, this was done with latinos (speedy gonzalez anyone?), asians, native americans and so forth.

cartoon network stopped showing speedy gonzales cartoons in 1999 because of the negative portrayal of mexicans onscreen. if you were to type in "racist cartoons" on this site you would find many cartoons like the one I complained of. there's actually 11 specific cartoons that were pulled off the air in 1988 because of the negative portrayal of african americans. those cartoons are called "The Censored 11" because of their offensive nature.
