@DWDave67 of what they promised and quite frankly put us even more into a hole. now in his 4rth year i do believe president obama has taken some unopposed steps for the good but i think Tim Pawlenty is exactly what America needs. HE has the right mindframe, and definatly has the experience. I mean he had Minnisota on the fast track to perfection. The democrates step in as the govenor and the state government shuts down. I dont see how any more obvious it can get
@DWDave67 the acts and have been trying to get the chance to fix the damage.the american public chose not to give them the chance. ok - understandable. but now before they can correct the damage and maybe even come out a little better- the democrates step in and when i say democrates im refering to the radical democratic movements. They start up taxs and blame it on the GOP. They cant get the health care bill pass and blame it on the GOP. They INCREASE government spending which is the opposite
@MrCowbell54 We can agree on greed... Greed is what got the GOP to deregulate the banks, morgage industry, what got NAFTA passed, what caused policy to reward outsourcing, and greed got us into Iraq. the past 30 years the GOP's record is one of tax cut and spend. The numbers do not add up and neither does the GOP's record on fiscal responsibility or job creation.
@DWDave67 compensated. The world has become an extremly greedy place. George w. gave them the money, expecting to happen what has happened for years upon years in any capitalistic economy. For the money to be responsibly spent and as i said trickle down. they used that money, made a multiple gamples, lost, knocking everyone down! you cant blame Bush for their actions! thats like giving tax breaks to the middle class and them buying a gun with it and killing someone and then blame it on taxes!
1. there are thousands of factors hitting the unemployment rate ranging from amount of jobs, to qualifications for jobs, right down to plain out laziness of the american public (not generalizing, but there is a percentage). To say that all of the countrys problems are because of some tax breaks is crap! George W. was hit with 9/11, hurricane Katrina, AND a WAR! cut the guy some slack! the upper class was generously funding the war, and many different relief efforts. they expected to be
@MrCowbell54 When you understand that tax cuts for the rich do not equal jobs for the middle class and poor as proven by George W Bush and his tax cuts yielding the least amount of jobs created in the post WW2 era. Taxes for the rich are at 60 year lows...Hows the unemployment rate looking these days?
@DWDave67 its called CAPITALISM! all money starts at the top and trickles down! im tired of demecrates trying to make it seem like the republicans gave rich people some cash so they could pocket it! thats bull crap and its straight lieing to the american people! what happens if the upper class americans go poor huh? no more jobs! you must have a upperclass in a capitalistic economy and the republicans just created a solid upper class so that the rest can trickle down the food chain!
obviously they're gonna take the money! they vote for how they feel about something, if its passed, they abide by it, if not they dont. They are gonna take the money with the stimulus anyway, not accepting the money for their state wont acomplish anything! what if tomaro the federal goverment tries to pass a nationwide dui law? lets say the delaware polititions all vote against it. if it passes does that mean the dui law doesnt affect delawarians? NO!
So the Republican "concerns" about this bill seem to mean "we didn't come up with it, so its bad" yet they had no problem voting for a 1.2 Trillion dollar tax cut (unfunded) that went mostly to the wealthy, the one group wo do not nead or deserve a tax cut.

Republicans: Looking out for the top 1% as usual.

... now, 8 months later, opposition to the stimulus has been vindicated.
It's always fun to watch these things after you know how it played out.
