Guests walking through the Magic of Animation at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando are in the building where some of Disney's most popular movies were created. This video compares the 2009 attraction with the working studio as it was in 1994, There are also some scenes from 2004 when the studio was dismantled.

  • Britt Seagull: I miss working there. They will never bring it back. I'm going to work at Tiburon Animation Studios.

Hank Alligator: I miss working there, I drew a picture of Kenai as a bear for everyone at Walt Disney Feature Animation in Florida. I guess I'm going to work for the California unit, unless if I went on vacation to LA.

  • Scott DeDewott: *is very sad The Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio in his home state of Florida isn't here anymore* I miss working there. I'm going to work at 20th Century Fox Animation.

Devlin Blazkow: I miss hanging out there. I'm going to work at DreamWorks.

Jack Raccoonburt: I miss working at Walt Disney Feature Animation here in my home state of Florida. I'm going to work at Iguana Entertainment.

  • It is very sad to see that nobody officially "works" there anymore as an animator. Nobody gives that much attention to the art aspect of movies anymore and it truly is sad. I do remember seeing it as a real working studio. When you walk in after the video with Mushu there is a small display case showing models & information about the latest Disney animated movie. I look at the glass windows that are covered up in some green material & think about the time that people actually worked behind them.

  • Very cool but also heartbreaking. To think the same floor space where "Lilo and Stitch" was made is now a character greeting area where kids can meet... Lilo and Stitch.

  • Wow -- I had no idea what it looked like now. Sad to think that real people used to work there, creating movies! But I'm very happy to have been a part of those wonderful years.

  • Fascinating. Thanks for posting! Sort of sad how Disney guests used to experience seeing a real behind-the-scenes view of a functioning animation studio, now all we get is a pre-fabbed " animation experience". Bring back the real thing Disney !

  • Awesome! Thanks Don.
