It seems like this is one of those pieces of prog rock that you hear and never forget but then can never find. I had a cassette recording of one side of the album that I played constantly for a decade. I recently got the cd. I love this music, still, 35 years later.
I once downloaded a "best of" instrumental prog songs, which had no information nor idtag about any of the files, except their title. I have listened to this collection on shuffle many times, and added this one to my "long prog songs" playlist and had to know what is it. It was named "5e mouvement" so I had to google the length of it too to find it. Now I can finally get the album, because it is purely amazing.
Make that five, but you know there are many more. I had discovered Gong via Steve Hillage's "L" albun when it first came out and I heard it in a stereo shop, so the next thing was find out everything that anyone in Gong had anything do to with . . .
I painted this on a 4'x4' canvas for an Art class my junior year in High School . . . you think I didn't get some strange looks?
Make that Four, I too own this magical album. This was my first introduction to stereo! ever. It blew me away then. I dig it out of my mouldering pile of albums from time to time, last time it was to add to my funeral list of music. (This mean't to be at the end of the service).
I thought I was the only person who had this album! I love it - features Tim Blake and Steve Hillage. The bass player on side 2 is Martin Isaacs - he used to live around the corner from me in Bristol!

If I could only find a copy of the V sampler. Life would be complete...well almost, if you know what I mean
