This Kingfisher was sitting in a pond of a park in an urban area. During the winter Kingfishers come near civilized areas, because the water is not frozen. In this video you can see the bird keeps it's head still, balancing on the moving branch. This enables him to accurately measure the distance to the fish in the water. It was taken with a Canon Powershot (very simple digital camera), and attached with a home-made adapter to a 20x telescope.
