  • Damon, Peter, Russell, Valerie Ann and more interviewed in this video are pure obstructionists that have been at the root of blocking development for decades. The boats are barely allowed to fish, the ice company and railways are barely hanging on due to the restrictions the Feds have mandated. Time to get real. The Schooners are NOT about to round the Dog Bar and save the fishing industry. There IS room for everyone. Open your eyes. Nice video, but dated totally slanted and unrealistic.

  • Citizen for Gloucester Harbor is a nice sounding name but they are NOT your friends. They are a group of people directly responsible for the dire conditions this city is in. Where are the biotech firms? Ocean Alliance has ZERO money. I don't see a line of universities vying for space on the waterfront. There was not a single property owner interviewed in this clip, go ask them what they think of the DPA and how it effects them. Many would gladly sell, but there is nobody allowed to buy.

  • Pure Obstructionist Propaganda. Plain and Simple. Most of the people being interviewed in this video are those you could point an finger at and attribute a failed project or blocked project on a site that sits unused and decaying. Think I4-C2 and how well that has gone. Are we better of with the Paint Factory falling into the Harbor or a millionaire preserving it? What is better? Decaying wharves or investment and compromise? Not a single wharf owner was interviewed in this clip.

  • By keeping the port working for fishing and industry not only will there be more jobs but more tourists will come. Why go see a town that turns into a ghost town between late September and May? Gloucester is a national treasure because it is alive.

  • Keep Gloucester real. I do visit once a year, beacause it is real. You don't need an Old Orchard Beach atmosphere.
