this piano is very very old and must repair maybe all! The mechanic is not good more , hear this tune incredible and not nice!

Yes, I tune what people ask me to tune. If someone is proud to have such a piano, I let him be proud. Also its a shame how many new pianos are built. Sometimes its best to have something in the middle, and not an extreme. But if someone likes extremes, may be, this is the right sort of piano for him! I fixed many things in the mechanic (many parts out of glue) and the customer himself worked on it. So, for him I did a good job and he was very, very happy! Thats the most important!

Sounds to me like the tuning pins are loose! How old is this piano?

Thats the point of the whole thing! How on earth do you save an old piano!? I exchanged some pins, repared what needed to be reparied and humidified the piano with water to give the pins a better grip!

Hi, my first reaction was because this was not said to be a rough tuning.

I see sometimes piano tuners that sell that kind of rough tuning as being the real thing, that is why I wrote. Was in a bad day, probably !

On old pianos I try to protect the holes and add pressure on the top of the lever so there is no friction on the bottom, and eventually the pin even can be twisted some. Then the hole do not suffer from the tuning

Ich will mein altes Trautwein Klavier (Oberdämpfer) Bj. 1904 auch selbst stimmen.

i am a tuner with 20 years experience...i thought his tuning was reasonable and it was just the first tuning...i am sure he applied the fine ear to it...i enjoyed watching his technik indeed. very good tempo!!!!!

hell of a temperament string ya got there! reminds me of the understring felt for the heavy bass on a S290!

I did not notice but you did not even check the pitch with the usual tests and proofs !

Your tuning is worth 35 Euros (at last you are sure the customer will call you back in one year !)

Man you forget to push the damper pedal while inserting you mufler felt. I hope you dont forget on Steinwyas or Yamahas !

Intersting but I see no settling of the pins, I doubt you tuning hold very long. Indeed not a so interesting piano.

You have no feedback from the tuning hammer to your hand.

Tuning nice unissons implies tuning doublets.

Leider nur zwei Sternchen von mir. Ich hätte es gut gefunden, wenn einige Erklärungen gegeben wären wie ich als absoluter Neuling ein Klavier stimmen soll. Welches Werkzeug man braucht; womit man anfängt usw..
