Based on the technology of the conductive thread pressure sensor, previously used in the Analog Fabric Joypad, these slippers are designed with two inputs each that sense the pressure being weighted from the body on either the toe-balm or the heal of the foot.

Feeding this analog input into a simple drawing application, allows the wearer to control the direction of a line and draw in a very simple etch-a-sketch fashion.
I'm currently developing a set of games that make use of this mobile imput, as well as exploring what else is possible.

  • it is nicely sensitive to human weight, that is why they work so well in this project. you should try making some yourself.

  • How sensitive are the pressure sensors to weight? I have seen some intense sensing equipment used for sports analysis (Chris Lowery in Sports Science on youtube). This would be very helpful for runners and joggers to record their stats for running and jogging. Very cool.

  • good try but next time try to draw something meaningful on the screen lol

  • This is the breakthrough we've all been waiting for!!!!!!!
