This 3D video animation shows how we gather concentrated solar power from the sun through the help of heliostats (or reflected mirrors) which track the suns motion. It shows the basic process from collecting power from the sun and sending the resulting electricity through a step-up transformer and sent down power lines.

  • Very nice presentation! It gives the elementary idea of the tapping of solar energy.

  • Very informative video. Solar energy could be the answer to the world's energy crisis. It is abundant and being pollution free, it might just be the perfect solution. In the past 20 years, the demand for solar energy for domestic purposes has grown by up to 25% per year. Pacific Crest Transformers has more information on this. You can also read whitepapers and articles on alternate energy at the Pacific Crest Transformers website.

  • The animation shows how powerful the solar energy is. It shows how the energy is being converted and powered an electrical machine.

  • sun light is absorbed by reflected mirrors and it is passed to a focal point. Molten salt is heated by sun rays and power is manufactured.
