Bill Withers
Kissing My Love
1972-11-17

The Beat Club - Bremen, Germany TV Show.

This is a great cut and the band is in the pocket and groovin!

This is one of my favorite shows. The band blows me away... and are a great compliment to Bill. It breathes.

Catch "Still Bill" on DVD or Netflix. A great story of a great man and his wisdom.

I think this band consists of: * Bill Withers - guitar, vocals * Benorce Blackmon - guitar * Melvin Dunlap - bass * James Gadson - drums * Raymond Jackson - piano
I think these guys are from the Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band

"I feel that it is healthier to look out at the world through a window than through a mirror. Otherwise, all you see is yourself and whatever is behind you." -- B.W.

I looked this up a while back and never got around to adding it in the description.

Thanks for the reminder. A very "cool" band.

  • Funky, funky, funky. James Gadson took this basic 16th note beat to another level.

Cudos James Gadson! Read more about James Gadson and other funky drummers on SoulDrummers . com.

  • Wow, a killa! Thanx for uploading this classical FOnK tune. Luv dat! SWEEEET

  • always the best!!!!!!!

  • James Gadson looks like he is on an entirely different plane. He is the groove. Dude's cooler than 3 Plutos.

  • not a single fuck was given during this performance...

  • Oh yes! The great James Gadson playing his legendary 16th note hi-hat.

I think JG and Jeff Porcaro have played the most tasty stuff that way. Try playing along to " I keep forgettin' from Michael Mcdonald's 1982 album " If that's what it takes. Not only is it a very beautiful song, but also incredibly groovy and very hard to play along to. You should try it.

  • that drummer is the best....so much soul

  • @sda1225 me too

  • funny i play guittar and drums but this is very awesome

  • Why is the Drummer taking so much feel?
