@SamieSamIsScene The female WOULD eat the male if you didn't separate them, but it isn't needed for a successful breeding.

The spider female needs all the energy it can get for breeding... including eating the male who mated with her... and I think the owner doesn't like that xD
And as the spiders are (hopefully >.>) feed by the owner so does the female spider not need to eat the male for survival~
