  • Nice job on the solo, always loved that as it's a classic solo, but the bass notes on the backing track are very wrong on the second part of it.

  • Thanks...I was just playing chords on the backing bit so the low notes wouldn't be the right bassline

  • What is the finish of this guitar? Desert Burst?

  • Yup - Desert Burst

  • Hey there, just the best solo I have heard on youtube and played with such feeling.Amos Garrett - eat your hart out. I have tried to find anyone to show me how to play this iconic guitar solo. Do you have any tabs? AlZeiss

  • great taste Man

  • Good job! One of the great moments on the Old Grey Whistle Test years ago was when Maria Muldaur did her song......the guitarist pulled this solo off really well, and his Telecaster sounded so fine....

  • I keep coming back to this one every week because it is SO inspirational. I feel sorry for the heavy metalheads because they don't know what REAL guitar tone is about..this is like going to Heaven. It's caused me to learn the solo. Thank you SO much!

  • That's close. Very good, being that it's such a distinct style and unique phrasing.

  • great job

  • TheBigGitR: The great thing about this video is it gives alot of insight as to how Amos played it originally.(on the album)

Today I think he plays the solo differently everytime( live) but the 1973 album version was perfect. You're extremely brave because this ain't an easy one.

Love the guitar tone by the way.

  • That is effortlessly BEAUTIFUL! One of the trickiest solos ever. This video has to go on my favourites list. Thank you SO much for showing a solo that i've struggled with since 1974!
