Tonguetales...

Tonguetales is a sound installation consisting of a sound collage played in loop inside a room which is sealed off by white cloth. The sound is a collage made of various recordings of people speaking (and singing) in tongues. The room is lit up from the inside by bright floodlight, causing the room to shine outwards in the gallery. The aim of the installation was to try to capture the sound of people in religious ecstacy or spiritual transcendense.
