Karl is put out that he has been called a 'dickhead' by a tramp after suggesting he 'dump all the Big Issues in the bin and go home'.

  • i think the dickhead was a bit uncalled for

  • alright .....

  • @MrClickity 1 yh sure but like i said i dont argue with people over grammar

2 im actauly belgian :) believe it or not

3 idk i still find it clever and funny even if its not correct

4 why do i feel the need to write back in numbers :s

  • @Isleofskye Oh I know, I was just trying to give an analogy. It's a shame we don't use the term in America, there really isn't an equivalent term here. Then again, y'all don't have a word for the 2nd person plural, we do ;-)

  • @MrClickity

Hi....You are right about the meaning of a back-handed compliment but "cheeky" is totally different M8..:)

"Cheeky" is often used by Parents, for example, to describe their smiling baby or I call my lovely dogs cheeky.

Its a "term of affection" said to someone who is doing something slightly naughty but you like the person anyway.

  • @Isleofskye Another way to describe it is it's the opposite of a backhanded compliment. A backhanded compliment is when you say something nice but in a mean spirited way. Being cheeky is when you say something mean but in a nice way.

  • @luckygozer 1. My point is, when you're talking about who's right or wrong about English, you might want to make sure your English is correct.

    2. Good for you but your post implied pretty strongly you were British.

    3. I've heard lots of British people say it and pat themselves on the back for being so clever, I was pointing out that they're not as clever as they think.

  • @MrClickity 1 im writing on youtube do you really think i gave a crap if i spelled something wrong?

2 im not english nor american english is my third language i can understand it and speak it well enough to have a conversation but thats about it

3 i didnt say it was 100% correct but its just a thing someone once told me

  • @luckygozer That just makes you sound like a smug douche. Also, it's wrong because English spelling wasn't standardized until the mid to late 18th Century. American English had been developing long before that. Also, what about more recent words? By your logic, it's an airplane not an aeroplane because Americans invented the fucking thing.

By the way, if *you're* ever having an argument with anyone about language, you should learn the difference between "your" and "you're"

  • @JessiiXXXD if your ever having an argument with an american about language just say you do everything correctly because you invented the fucking language ^^

    i thought that was funny
