Knoppix 6.4......Has it changed to much??

Watch in fullscreen and HD.......
Hey chaps,here i go back and look at knoppix,now this was my very first distro when i started using linux well back in the day,like last century.....
now it has changed soooo much since them good old days,as with the old knoppix you got a stack load of software on the disk,but here i am afraid you don't,also it did not want to install to the hard drive,and there quite a few little things that just didn't work properly.

Since KDE 4.x came with all its bad stuff and KDE distros start to become less popular and less usable because if they use KDE 4.x they are not stable and if they use KDE 3.5 they are outdated !!

@cobrafazea true mate,they stuck between a rock and a hard place,but i have found that kde is slowly getting a lot more stable,and when (hopefully)they implement there new idea,s which are well cool,we should see kde back on track

well.. knoppix was never about being user-friendly, rather about running on all sorts of obscure hardware..

And it's probably CD version, take DVD version, it have around 3500 programs.

Bro, don't use Knoppix on Virtual MachineWare, because this 3D effects do not stock. Knoppix is more powerful on boot, than on some virtual programs.

First time using this distro. I'm a windows user I had to get it in order to rescue my files from my unbootable computer. I love it though the little problem with flash did take a lot of time to figure out.

@sneekylinux yes .. KDE 4 will hopefully take a breath as Gnome is being upgraded to 3.0 now and it may take its time becoming featureful and more stable so people will overwhelmingly turn into KDE then .
