To kennetzel- Thanks for your response. I think I tried new batts but, they may have been cheap or old. I'll try some real fresh batteries again tomorrow. and keep my fingers crossed. glad you got your's going again. cheers....

No. This one is Robby, the one from Fireball XL5 is Robert. The one from Lost in Space is B9, you have C-3P0 and R2-D2, there is Marvin from Hitch hiker's guide, you have Hewey, Dewey and Louie from Silent Running, Maria from Metropolis, Johnny 5 from Short Circuit, Twiki from Buck Rodgers, SID from UFO, etc. Tere are a lot of robots, and a lot of names.

I have the same robot and he walks and lights fine but, he has no voice anymore. Anyone know what can be wrong? He talked when I first got him new. Thanks

The same thing happened to me, and the problem was simply bad batteries. I picked him up one day, he walked and didn't talk. I went into a slight panic, tried new batteries, and it worked. I hope this is all that is wrong with yours.

Fantastic! I think Tobor was the best looking robot of that era. Is that one of a kind, or a store bought model.

Hi. Thanks for the comment. I was techically a store bought toy. I got it through mail order and it was only available for a limited time. They do pop up on Ebay from time to time.
